Photoluminescence Properties of Colloidal PbS Quantum Dots

Quantum dots (QDs) of narrow-gap semiconductors such as PbS are nice candidates for investigating strong quantum confinement effects because of very large exciton Bohr radii. Furthermore, it is possible to control drastically the photoluminescence(PL) properties under appropriate conditions. In the present study, we have investigated systematically the PL properties of colloidal PbS QDs by measuring the temperature dependence of PL spectra and time-resolved PL spectra.
