Resenance Shear forces of pentaoxyethylene dodecyl ether aqueous solution confined between mica surfaces have been measured with surface force aparatus. Above the critical micelle concentrtion (CMC)this surfactant forms rod micelles. Resonance shear forces were measured at different concentration such as 2xCMC, 5xCMC, 25xCMC and 250xCMC. The effect of concentration on surface forces of micelles has been discussed. Unilayer micelle can be trapped between the mica surfaces. The repulsive forces increases stiffly near to the diameter of micelle. Micelles are unable to couple the two mica surfaces. However, the viscosity of the solution increases with confinement behond 7 nm.
