We demonstrated the mass production of monodisperse discotic suspensions using phase changing emulsions. Electrospray emulsification fabricates uniform wax droplets first and then collects using density and surface tension matching solvent to form emulsions. Surface tension and surface freezing control the shape of the colloids resulting in either read blood cell like particles or flat short circular cylindrical particles. We will discuss the colloidal phase transitions we observed via evaporation and sedimentation.
