[3+2] Cycloadditions of Ynamids

Lingfeng You, Xuejun Zhang, and Richard P. Hsung. University of Wisconsin-Madison, Madison, WI

[3+2] Cycloadditions of ynamides with diazoacetates provide a convenient approach to access functionalized pyrazoles or 3H-pyrazoles. The reactions usually go with high regioselectivity because of the electronic bias of the alkyne imposed by the amide group. The yields are good when terminus ynamides or “push-pull” ynamides are used as dipolarphiles.
