biofuels: R&d agenda i
Advanced research to produce sustainable biofuels is a high priority on R&D agendas worldwide. National and regional perspectives may vary based on the type of biomass available as feedstock, existing infrastructure, regulatory issues, as well as on the major biofuel produced, that is primarily ethanol or biodiesel. The new technologies needed to advance the use of biofuels worldwide provide opportunities for research collaboration internationally. In this session, leaders of biofuels R&D efforts will describe the framework of the R&D agenda in the country/region that they represent.
