Al2O3 is obtained from phseudoboehmite (AlOOH), this precursor can be produced by sol-gel method when Aliminium and Isopropilic alcohol are in contact. Two different catalysts were used ( HgI and sublimed Iode) in order to carry out AlOOH synthesis. Characterization were performed by XRD, TGA, and BET analysis. The environmental impact in phseudoboehmite (AlOOH) synthesis was investigated. Experimental results were compare with simulation using Green Chemistry Expert System. Textural characterization showed no effect respect to process. Sublimed Iode catalyst indicated that its environmental impact is smaller.
