Many years of consulting have led to experiences as an expert witness in cases that have gone to trial and have been settled out of court. Examples are humorous and informative. In one case, the judge and jury commented, before rendering a verdict, that I had done a good job; we lost the case. In another instance, I had to scour box cars in a rail yard and ended up facing the guns of railroad detectives. Almost 2 years of preparation led to a court trial in a multimillion dollar patent infringement suit where I was assisted by the judge in giving testimony. Questions will be answered as to behavior during depositions and trials.
