This lecture will include a brief introduction to FT-IR theory and the use of the FT-IR spectrometer to solve every-day analytical problems. These will include the use of various spectral libraries to identify unknown materials or to verify the quantity of various additives in polymers and adhesives. The quality control of several adhesives and raw materials will be included in the lecture.
