In this presentation we describe a supramolecular approach to the preparation of multi-component solid solutions based on diazines and substituted phenols. Organic solid solutions are usually formed by molecules having similar shapes and sizes; thus, it is difficult to create solid solutions of any arbitrary compound. The supramolecular approach developed in this work enables the creation of solid solutions of a variety of compounds that can form hydrogen bonding or other intermolecular interactions. Here we report the synthesis and characterization of several organic alloys and discuss their diffraction and thermal properties.
