Thymine containing polymers undergo 2pi + 2pi photocyclodimerization reactions upon UV irradiation. This process allows for the manipulation of both the surface and bulk physical properties of polymeric materials. This presentation will discuss effects related to water solubility and comple stability of thymine containing random and block copolymers.
