We have recently developed new reactions for metal-catalyzed asymmetric synthesis of P-stereogenic phosphines, including Pd-catalyzed asymmetric arylation and Pt-catalyzed asymmetric alkylation of secondary phosphines. This talk will describe recent synthetic and mechanistic studies of these reactions.
