New technologies impact positively the way chemistry is done but true innovation is rare. Soluphase has in-licensed and further develops SCG Technology which has afforded phosphonium salt tagged, reagents, catalysts, scavengers and supports. SCG Technology originated from the Laboratory of André B. Charette from the Chemistry Department of the Université de Montréal. Differing from most supported chemistry products, the Solubility Control Group (SCG) Tagged products are soluble in reaction mixtures keeping the advantages of solution phase homogeneous chemistry for greater reactivity and less need to use large excess of reagents. In the purification step, SCG tagged products can be precipitated by the simple addition of solvent and filtered off for quantitative disposal or recovery and recycling.
