Responsive Polymers and Self Assembly I
Responsive materials based on self-assembled polymers are designed to alter their structure and properties in response to environmental conditions. These fascinating materials are receiving increasing attention for applications including bio-separations, drug delivery systems, switchable surfaces, viscosity modifiers, and even as artificial muscles.

This symposium focuses on:
Novel materials or methods for the fabrication of responsive polymers
Characterization of solution or bulk morphology and the connection to the material performance (wetting behavior, adhesion, rheological behavior, permeability, etc)
Theoretical and computer simulation studies that provide insight and property prediction for responsive materials, including molecular, nanoscale and mesoscale modeling methods
Characterization of the dynamics of responsive polymer systems
New applications of responsive polymers
