The synthesis of complex, biologically active natural products continues to be an important pursuit. This endeavor drives the development of new reactions to address the challenge of a natural product synthesis and also provides a starting point in accessing compounds for the development of chemotherapeutics. Our efforts to construct a range of architecturally intriguing natural products and the development of new methods in this regard will be presented.
