Three cytotoxic compounds have been isolated and identified from a fungal endophyte extracted from the plant Alstonia scholaris, and two other bio-active compounds have been isolated and identified from a fungal endophyte from the plant Acmena graveolens. Both these plants were collected from the canopy of an Australian rain forest. Identification of the compounds was established using NMR spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction techniques.
