Drug Discovery: Back to the Future

The drug discovery process has undergone significant changes in the last 20 years due to the availablity of new technologies, application of HTS, and insights into the human genome. The author will review, form his perspective, the impact these changes have had on his research and the field in general while pointing to the trend back to understanding and working sith the entire biological system, System's Biology, as a necessary component of modern druge discovery research.
