Issues in emergency response (CHAS)
News of events involving hazardous materials and other disasters of nature, as well as those from terrorist activities has become an unfortunate aspect of our everyday lives. When such an event strikes close to home, preparedness is critical to protect the health and safety of responders, the public and the environment. These events pose unique challenges for all participants regardless of where they fit in the incident structure. This symposium focuses on risks and issues associated with emergency response incidents. Speakers representing various roles within the response organization will share their perspective on issues encountered during actual events.
