Antibody Attachment to Metal Nanostructures for Electronic and Optical Sensing of Antigen

In this presentation we will describe scanning probe microscopy studies aimed at imaging IgG antibodies attached to various Au nanostructures synthesized directly on surfaces by chemical or electrochemical methods. We also describe the use of antibody-coated metal nanostructures for optical and electronic-based sensing of antigen. The detection of antigen is important for medical diagnostics and pathogen detection.
