The effect of various atmospheric pollutants on the life of Spanish Moss was investigated in the first part of this study. It was discovered that certain pollutants can kill Spanish Moss as evidenced by weight loss and miscoscopic investigations. In the second part of this study, the ability of different types of plants to generate O2 was investigated by selectively monitoring CO2 and O2 in a closed chamber with a timed light and dark cycle.. Spanish Moss was used as a control since it has no leaves. Other plants with different types of leaves were studied. The results showed a cyclic behavior. The results were surprising as you will see on the poster.
