Margrave Memorial Symposium (Invited)
The symposium honors the memory of John L. Margrave, the E.D. Butcher Professor of Chemistry at Rice University and Member of National Academy of Sciences. During his more than fifty year-long professional carrier, Margrave made significant contributions to inorganic, physical, high-temperature materials and fluorine chemistry. He authored more than 800 publications and mentored more than 100 graduate students and 100 postdoctoral researchers during his career. John Margrave is remembered as a prominent scientist, inspiring teacher and a great colleague. The invited talks of John Margrave's former students and collaborators on their current research will be presented at the symposium.
