Community colleges play a vital role in training the 21st century workforce by providing access to higher education and fostering success for a diverse student body. The recently released ACS Guidelines for Chemistry in Two-Year College Programs seeks to promote excellence in chemical education and increase communication between community college chemistry programs and their partners in education, industry, and government. This presentation will provide an overview of the guidelines and how they can be used to support students, faculty, and programs at community colleges.  It will also introduce the new ACS Task Force on Two-Year College Activities, which was established to determine interest in and viability of strategies for engaging and supporting two-year college programs within the broader higher education community.  Copies of the guidelines will be distributed, and input from the community will be solicited.
